Helping her patients is the goal of dietitian MaryKay, who celebrated her fifth anniversary with DaVita.

MaryKay understands the importance of making the renal diet fit into her patients’ lives. “I work with the patients and their families encouraging them to understand the importance of their diets. While I am educating them on that importance, I also try to take their cultural preferences into consideration and show them how their preferred foods fit into the renal diet,” she explains.
“My goal is to try to help the patients feel better overall,” MaryKay declares. “I work with each patient to get their lab numbers in their healthy range. Clearly, the most rewarding aspect of my job is seeing people getting their labs under control and doing more for themselves,” she states.
MaryKay is proud of her center. “We have 40 chairs for our patients and we have the highest quality care scores in the region,” she boasts, adding, “I enjoy working for DaVita because of the great working relationships I have with the physicians, teammates, patients and their families.”
