Beet and Cucumber Salad by Dianna from New Mexico

“The single most important thing patients can do to improve their health is have a positive attitude,” says Dianna. “That’s why I always try to give my patients positive energy and encourage their ability to make good choices.”

Since receiving her degree from Southern Illinois University, Dianna has enjoyed 24 years as a dietitian. On how she decided on a career as a dietitian, Dianna says, “I was interested in a medical field, but didn’t want to be a nurse.”  When asked how she found her way into the renal area, Dianna reports, “A nephrologist friend asked if I was interested in a part-time job.” And the rest, as they say, is history.

When it comes to working at DaVita, Dianna says, “I really like the DaVita team approach and it’s so rewarding to see patients improve to normal energy, appetite and life.”

At her center in New Mexico, Dianna and her teammates work hard to keep up with the latest in renal-friendly products. “For me it’s so important to be available and get to know the patients personally.”

Dianna enjoys the great weather and outdoor recreation in New Mexico. She invites her patients to stay refreshed with a cool salad. Try Dianna’s Beet and Cucumber Salad and you can stay refreshed, too.
