DaVita Patient Citizens—DPC

DPC Logo

With more than 20,000 dialysis and pre-dialysis patients making up our membership, DPC is working to improve the quality of life for all dialysis patients through education and advocacy. We are a nationwide, non-profit, patient-led dialysis organization with membership open only to dialysis and pre-dialysis patients and their families. Our policies and our mission are guided solely by our membership.

What we do:

  • Developing awareness of dialysis-related issues
  • Advocating for dialysis and pre-dialysis patients
  • Improving the partnership between patients and their in-center health care team (caregivers)
  • Promoting fair, favorable public policy
  • Educating dialysis patients about health and lifestyle issues

What can DPC do for you?

DPC brings you together with those who share your concerns regarding dialysis care and quality of life for dialysis patients. So many times we feel alone and unable to make a difference. By joining a united dialysis community, your voice becomes more powerful.

Some of the benefits you'll receive as a member:

  • Quarterly newsletters to keep you updated on issues affecting dialysis patients
  • Website with updates on the issues and informative articles about topics that concern your health and lifestyle
  • Monthly electronic newsletter and periodic Actions Alerts allowing you to quickly get involved in issues affecting the kidney community
  • A voice in deciding which issues are most important to kidney patients
  • The opportunity to educate the public about dialysis patients' needs
  • The ability to have a direct impact in making life better for all dialysis patients
  • The chance to interact with thousands of other patients who share similar experiences, needs and concerns

Membership is absolutely free and open to all people on dialysis, those who have chronic kidney disease who are not yet on dialysis (pre-dialysis), as well as their family members across the United States.
