Nephrologists: DaVita’s physician partners work closely with their clinical care team to identify the dialysis treatment option best suited to a patient’s unique health and lifestyle needs.
Medical Directors: DaVita’s medical directors provide leadership and guidance to the clinical teams and ensure the practices are in place to achieve clinical initiatives.
Facility Administrators: DaVita’s facility administrators manage the patient treatment schedule and all other aspects of dialysis centers’ operations, working closely with nephrologists to manage their patients’ care.
Nurses: Nurses carry out the treatment plans outlined by the nephrologists and are integral members of the DaVita clinical care team, whether they work with in-center or home dialysis patients.
Dietitians: DaVita’s dietitians, who are specially trained in nutrition for people with chronic kidney disease, collaborate with the physicians and nurses to plan which foods patients should eat and which they should avoid based on their unique dietary needs.
Social Workers: DaVita’s social workers actively support patients and their families during and after the transition to dialysis, helping manage the emotional, financial, career and lifestyle adjustments involved.
Patient Care Technicians: Working together with nurses, dialysis patient care technicians help ensure the comfort and safety of patients in the center, monitoring the patients before, during and after treatment. DaVita is proud that 100% of our required care technicians are certified.

Insurance Specialists: If patients need help navigating their insurance options, DaVita has insurance specialists to help answer their questions.
Travel Planners: DaVita has more than 1,600 dialysis centers nationwide, including locations in virtually every popular vacation destination. Regardless of where patients normally dialyze, DaVita travel planners can arrange a location for them to dialyze during their travels.
Emergency Services Providers: When natural disasters or severe weather prevents dialysis centers from delivering care, DaVita’s emergency services team works to see that all patients are accounted for and placed in alternate dialysis centers.
Call Center Support Specialists: Day or night, support specialists are standing by to help DaVita patients find the nearest dialysis center to their home or vacation destination, explain treatment options, guide them to resources where they can learn about kidney disease and more.
