Old Fashioned Applekuchen

Yield: 18 pieces

Serving size: 2-1/2” x 2” piece

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 cups fresh peeled and sliced apples

Preparation

  1. Blend all ingredients in order given, apples last and blended least.
  2. Grease a 12” x 7-1/2” glass baking pan or 2 smaller pans.
  3. Pour in mixture and bake at 350° F for approximately 1 hour. Cake will be golden. Do not over cook, the cake should be moist.
