Hamburger Patties

Serving size: 2 ounce cooked patty
Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1/4 cup low-cholesterol egg substitute
- 1/2 cup nondairy creamer
- 1/2 cup cracker meal or 10 low-sodium soda crackers, crushed
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/2 tablespoon dried parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon fresh garlic, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoon raw onion, chopped
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 425° F.
- Mix together all ingredients in a large bowl.
- Shape into 6 hamburger patties.
- Place patties in a baking dish.
- Bake uncovered for 20 minutes.
- For a complete meal, add a small hamburger bun, a slice of onion, lettuce and 1 tablespoon no-salt-added catsup.

- Grill patties on the barbeque, turning once until thoroughly cooked.
- This recipe can also be used to make meatloaf.
- For a high protein diet, make 4 patties to increase patty size to 3 ounces cooked.
