- Fresh, frozen, bottled, canned or powdered lemonade may be used in this recipe.
- Be aware, some canned lemonades contain polyphosphate or phosphoric acid, a form of phosphorus. Read labels and avoid brands with this additive.
- Substitute your favorite low potassium frozen vegetable blend.
- If you have diabetes, try sugar-free lemonade in this recipe to lower carbohydrates by 5 grams per serving.
- For best results, do not remove cover or stir rice during cooking.
