This recipe was a pleasant surprise how well it satisfied my Italian craving for tomato sauce, and I have never used roasted red peppers before.

Great sauce. Not quite true tomato sauce, but it's red and it makes pizza doable again.

This was fantastic !! My husband's family is Italian so tomatoes are an important part of the diet. My youngest son is now dialysis awaiting a transplant. He is a picky eater..imagine my surprise when he LOVED this ( not having anything marinara for over a year ) Now, he'll be able to have spaghetti or chicken parmesan once a week or maybe even pizza !!! THANK YOU !!!

I have made this several times and it is absolutely delicious. I use one of those mini food processors that hold about a cup, use a couple of peppers and a couple of tbsp. of low-sodium tomato sauce and spices. This makes just enough for my portion while the rest of the family uses the rest of the jar of sauce. I've used it over spaghetti, stuffed shells, and veal patties to make veal parmesan. Thank you, Sara, for a delicious alternative for some of my favorite foods!
