Herb Sauce Mix

Portion:   6

Serving size:   Use 1/2 tablespoon of this mixture for each serving of chicken, fish or pork.

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoons celery salt
  • 1 teaspoon celery seeds
  • 2 teaspoons dry mustard
  • 2 teaspoons paprika

Preparation

  1. Mix all ingredients and store in an airtight container. 
  2. To prepare sauce for one portion of meat, melt 1 tablespoon unsalted butter or olive oil and add 1/2 tablespoon of herb sauce mix.
  3. Pour over meat and bake in the oven or use as a sauce topping on chicken, fish or pork.

Helpful hints

I liked this sauce. I left out the celery salt and used unsalted butter to cut the sodium count. Still tasted great!
