Green Beans with Turnips

Serving size: 1/2 cup
Ingredients
- 3-1/2 cups (1 pound) fresh green beans, cut up
- 3-1/2 cups (2 medium) turnips, peeled and cut up
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
Preparation
- Remove ends from green beans and cut into 1-1/2" pieces. Peel turnips and cut each one into 8 pieces.
- Place vegetables and garlic in a medium-size pot. Cover with 3 cups water and bring to a boil. Reduce to medium heat and cook uncovered for 15 minutes.
- Remove pot from heat and drain water. Add butter, pepper and salt. Gently toss to mix seasonings with vegetables.
- Remove to serving dish and sprinkle with paprika.
