I am anxious to make this but would like to know how to preserve the remaining and or how long will it keep? Dietitian comment: If you store it in a tightly sealed container or zip top bags it will keep for 3-4 weeks. Consider dividing into individual servings for quick grab and go.

I'm confused. It says this recipe is safe for dialysis patients. Yet it includes cheese. I'm on a renal diet so I can't have dairy because of the phosphorus. So, shouldn't this recipe be unacceptable for people with renal failure who are on the renal diet? Dietitian comment: The amount of Parmesan cheese per serving is 2/3 teaspoon[INVALID]a very small amount. The total phosphorus per serving is also low at 32 mg. The bottom line is small amounts of foods high in sodium, potassium or phosphorus can be included in kidney-friendly recipes as long as the amounts per serving are low. You also must follow the serving size suggested on the recipe.

I made this for the patients in my clinic a couple of weeks ago. I added the cheese to the first batch but found it was too difficult to spread. In the second and third batches I left the cheese out altogether. I intended to add the cheese later but forgot. The patients loved it without the cheese. The garlic and dill flavors are wonderful together.

I made this for our patients and they liked it, but I ran into the same problem the previous reviewer had pouring it. Next time I'll follow the moderator's recommendations in that review.

I mixed the butter and other ingredients as indicated in the recipe but it was too thick to "pour" over the chex mix. Am I missing something here? I added more butter so I could pour it. I hope that doesn't mess up the mixture. Moderator comment: You could add only half the parmesan cheese to the melted butter then sprinkle the rest on afterwards. Otherwise add the extra butter if you don't mind the extra fat calories.

Making the regular Chex Party Mix is a tradition in our family. I was delighted to find Dill Nibbles--it was tasty and so easy to make--I experimented with various no salt herb blends-some tasted better than others-it is definitely worth making!
