Hot Holiday Cider (low sugar)

Serving size:  4 fluid ounces (1/2 cup)

Ingredients

  • 8 cups unsweetened apple cider
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 1/4 teaspoon whole cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice

Preparation

  1. Pour cider into a crock pot and add cinnamon, cloves and allspice.
  2. Heat and let steep for one hour to blend the flavors.

I prepared this for a pre-Thanksgiving patient party and it got mixed reviews. Most are used to something sweeter. Plus, I couldn't find unsweetened cider, so used unsweetened apple juice.
