Helpful hints
- Look for reduced-sodium broth containing 500 milligrams sodium or less per 1 cup serving. Avoid low-sodium broth that contains potassium chloride—it is very high in potassium. Recommended brands include Health Valley® No Salt, Fat Free Chicken Broth (800-423-4846), Kitchen Basics® Natural Chicken Stock, and Swanson® 50% Less Sodium Chicken Broth .
- Gravy Master® seasoning and browning sauce is produced by Gravy Master, Inc., 16 Business Park Drive, Branford, CT 06405. It is an acceptable low sodium, low potassium seasoning.
- Optional vegetable mixture includes cauliflower, carrots and snow peas (reduces phosphorus to 190 milligrams per serving.)
