Isn't chickpea flour bad for us? We aren't allowed chickpeas and lentils. Dietitian comment: The amount is important. In this recipe each serving has 130 mg potassium and 49 mg phosphorus contributed by the 2-1/2 tablespoons chickpea flour. Look at the total per serving of the finished product. Te recipe was revised to reflect updated analysis for the 4 Pakoda serving. You may also decrease the serving size for less potassium and phosphorus.

Is fat 1 gm or 10 gm? You are deep frying! Also how can sodium be 0 gms if you used 1/2 tsp salt? Please correct it! Dietitian comment: Done! Thanks for notifying us.

Hurray for this one. I have only been on dialysis for a short while (and out of the hospital for less time). THe thought of giving up pakoras was too much. THanks (pakora right? Not pakoda) Moderator comment: Pakora is known as pakoda in southern India and China.
