I DO NOT like mushrooms, can I substitute another veggie or just leave out all together? If I leave out the mushrooms what would the potass and phos levels be? How do I recalculate when I omit an item in a recipe? Dietitian comment, You can leave them out or substitute 1 cup of chopped bell peppers. If you leave the mushrooms out the potassium is 175 mg and phosphorus is 23 mg per serving.
