Meat Marinade

Serving size: 2 tablespoons per 3-ounce meat portion

Ingredients

  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup red wine
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper 

Preparation

    1. Mince garlic.
    2. Place all ingredients in a small bowl and mix well. 
    3. Pour over meat of choice. Refrigerate meat while marinating, up to 24 hours.

what can I use to replace the wines that are required. I have not tried this yet due to the wine. Dietitian comment: You can use 1/4 cup cranberry or grape juice or 1/4 cup low-sodium chicken broth.

I have tried many marinades, but this one was the BEST one ever!! I used red raspberry vinegar, & everyone at the picnic LOVED the steaks!!!
