Would the use of original almond milk instead of non dairy creamer be an acceptable substitution for a CKD diet? I use Aldi's brand and for 1 cup it is 60 calories, 140mg sodium, 45mg potassium, 8g carbs, 1g protein, 2.5g fat, and no added phosphates. Thanks! Dietitian comment: Yes this is a good substitution. Many almond milk brands contain a high amount of calcium[INVALID]that's the main concern for kidney patients who have problems with high calcium.

Very good! We were surprised by how good it could was with so simple ingredients. We also added a bit of shrimp and bay scallops we had frozen.
