Why is non-dairy creamer used for so many recipes? Can you use milk? Dietitian comment: Many nondairy creamers are lower in potassium and phosphorus compared to milk, however phosphate additives are added to many of these products. You could substitute with plain almond or almond-coconut milk. Check ingredeints and nutrition facts to find the product lowest in potassium and phosphorus if you are limiting these elements.

I made this for my mom (CKD non-dialysis) and she loved it! I didn't change a thing. Divided it into small containers and froze them, which worked fine. She asked me to make another batch!

Fantastic Recipe, I added some raw shrimp to the mix (looked for lowest Sodium available) also added some Red Pepper flakes for a little more zip have recommeded this to non CKD folks as well and they enjoyed it.

By far, my favorite Davita Recipe! I could only find 8oz packages of Surimi, so I added 2 ounces of fresh shrimp, diced. Put the shrimp shells in the chix broth and boiled it 5 mins. then drained them out...added so much seafood flavor!

This is excellent. My effort didn't result in 10 cups, though, so I added some more broth. But very tasty. I've frozen it, hope it does well.
