Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 10 ounces flank steak
  • 1/2 teaspoon cracked black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika 

Preparation

  1. Heat a sauté pan over high heat until hot.
  2. Add olive oil to the pan.
  3. Season the steak with black pepper and paprika.
  4. Add the steak to the hot pan and sear over high heat for 4 minutes on each side.
  5. Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest for 2 to 3 minutes.
  6. Slice on the bias and serve. 

Helpful hints

  • Let the steak rest before cutting it right away. This allows the flavors to settle in nicely.
  • Adjust portion to match your meal plan.
