Ingredients
- 1 cup Corn Chex® cereal
- 1 cup Rice Chex® cereal
- 1/2 cup Cocoa Puffs® cereal
- 1/2 cup mini rice cakes (plain or apple cinnamon)
Preparation
- In a medium bowl mix all ingredients together.
- Divide into 1 cup portions.
- Serve dry or with your favorite milk substitute.
Helpful hints
- Breakfast Trail Mix is a great breakfast alternative for dialysis patients who often do not have time for breakfast. It can be eaten as a snack or with milk alternative as a breakfast cereal.
- Be creative and experiment with different cereals. Ask your dietitian for a list of approved cereals.
