Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2  eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups all-purpose white flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 cups fresh apples, peeled and sliced 

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  2. Blend all ingredients in order given, apples last and blended least.
  3. Grease a 12” x 7-1/2” glass baking pan or 2 smaller pans.
  4. Pour mixture into pan and bake at for approximately 1 hour. Cake will be golden.

Helpful hints

  • Do not over cook, the cake should be moist.
