Triple Berry Salad with Cottage Cheese

1/2 cup cottage cheese and 1 cup berry mixture

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries
  • 1 cup fresh blackberries
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 cups 1% low fat cottage cheese
  • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon

Preparation

  1. Wash all berries well.
  2. Slice strawberries and combine with remaining berries in a bowl.
  3. Add lemon juice.
  4. Place cottage cheese on a serving plate or bowl, then top with berries.
  5. Sprinkle with ground cinnamon (optional).

Helpful hints

  • Berries are a great source of antioxidants. Lemons are high in Vitamin C, and also a good source of antioxidants. Antioxidants help neutralize free radicals inside the body and keep cells healthy.
