This was a nice change to perk up popcorn. We enjoyed very much. Did add salt substitute. Dietitian comment: Be aware salt substitute made from potassium chloride is extremely high in potassium and is not recommended for anyone on a low potassium diet.

Word to the wise: I couldn't wait to try this recipe because 1) I love popcorn, and 2) I wanted to use the 'popcorn in the brown bag' popping technique 'toolman03' mentioned. I didn't figure in the fact that we have a small microwave (8 inch clearance)! The first bag burned; I adjusted the second batch to fit my microwave, but it still was still too many kernels. ?? My advice: use much less corn (at least 1/2) and glue yourself to the counter, because cooking times / power are much more fickle with popcorn, and it will burn from the inside (it isn't noticeable from the outside of the bag) VERY easily. That said, this was a tasty treat!

I don't have an air popper. 1/4 cup of popcorn kernels in a paper bag, place in microwave till popping c slows. Also added butter to popcorn after popped then sprinkle all dry ingredients on popped corn while tossing in a bowl. Works really well.

I made this for a party at our facility. It was a hit and one of my favorite flavors for popcorn now!

Patients and teammates loved this. The "spice" makes it a great choice for fall.

Love popcorn, this sounds very good. Did not think I would be able to have popcorn again. Thanks so much for the recipe.

The patients loved this. I melted the sugar in 1 tbsp of water before adding the butter, cinnamon, and nutmeg. It helped it melt better and made a smoother sauce.

We made this for one of our dialysis unit "tasting days." It was easy to make, used common ingredients, and was well received.
