Can younger artificial cream like cool whip? Dietitian comment: You can make that change, but Cool Whip now has phosphate additives and we're moving away from using products with these additives since they are highly absorbed in the body and contribute to the daily phosphate intake which is limited.
Your website looks very interesting
I like mine very cold, these do not fit the bill for me
new to all of this.. please tell me what and where I can get pasteurized liquid egg whites from? my husband starts dialysis on March 22 and I need to do some shopping to have food on hand when he gets home from the hospital. Dietitian comment: Any grocery store should have pasteurized liquid egg whites. You can find the product near the egg section. If you google liquid egg whites you can see some pictures of the carton and some brand names.
i believe the lemon smoothie has the wrong info check nutrients and renal food choices.
Moderator response: No, these are the correct. The liquid egg whites used in the analysis are Eggbeaters brand and do contain a significant amount of sodium and potassium. The food choices are counted as meat because eggs and egg whites are more similar in nutrient content to meat than any of the other food groups. For comparison, the 28 grams of protein in the Lemon Smoothie is equivalent to the protein in 4 ounces of meat. The same amount of meat would contribute approximately 400 mg potassium and 260 mg phosphorus.
