This recipe has more carbs than I eat in a day! It may be renal friendly, but if you need renal & diabetes friendly, you need to travel a different path. Dietitian comment: 30 grams of carbohydrate for a meal is actually not a large amount. A reasonable amount of carbohydrate for a diabetes diet is 30-45 grams but may vary for each individual. If you want to try a lower carbohydrate version you could omit the dried cranberries and reduce oatmeal to 1/3 cup.

I love oatmeal. But because of the phosphorus can eat it only so often. I'll ask my dietian. Sound really good.
