  • Spice substitute for garam masala: Combine 1/2 teaspoon cardamom, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg, 1/4 teaspoon coriander and 1/4 teaspoon cloves.

Oh my goodness, is this good! Made it with ground turkey, which worked out great. Added just a shake of cayenne pepper. Husband loved it, too. Used garam masala, but would like to try it next time with the spice mix you suggest.
