These are really good, everyone loves them. My recipe makes about 70! I decreased the butter to about 7/8c, sugar to a heaping cup and flattened the ball a bit. Just a great.

These taste great but a couple issues we ran into were: - to bake on ungreased pans. Would suggest using parchment then, as the cinnamon sugar they are rolled in tends to stick to the pans - the temp. (400 degrees) is much higher than normal & (at least in our oven) made for blackened bottoms by the time the tops were done. Again, they tasted wonderful - just hoping others don't lose the 1st couple batches to stuck-on / over-cooked bottoms like we did. Thanks for providing such a wonderful service!! Jamie & Colette

We made these and rolled them into balls as instructed and froze them on a baking sheet then transferred them to a freezer bag so we can prepare them a serving at a time...everyone enjoyed them fresh and hot from the oven.

I made these for my patients on Valentine's Day and they all LOVED them! It was a nice treat to have instead of chocolate! I rolled mine thin and used a cookie cutter to shape them into hearts. This yielded 32 cookies instead of 24 and they baked just the same. Thanks for the recipe!

I make these cookies a lot for my mom and her friends on dialysis, also in the nursing home. But I leave out the cream of tartar and baking soda. They come out good and everyone loves them.
