Helpful hints

  • Fresh, frozen, bottled or canned lemonade may be used in this recipe. Be aware, some lemonades contain phosphate additives which increases phosphorus content.  Read labels and avoid brands with this additive.
  • Select a vegetable mix with carrots, corn, green beans, green peas or substitute your favorite low potassium frozen vegetable blend.
  • If you have diabetes, try sugar-free lemonade in this recipe to lower carbohydrates by 5 grams per serving.
  • For best results, do not remove cover or stir rice during cooking.

Tried this. Had too much lemon flavor for me. Maybe will try again and use less lemonade and more water.

Needs more veggies but the flavors are good. My daughter insisted on putting soy sauce on her portion but I felt no need for it.
