Is there a vegetarian alternative to poultry seasoning? (Avg rating to post. Will update once tried.) Dietitian comment: Poultry seasoning does not include any animal ingredients--it is a combination of ground herbs.

I'm 18 years old and have kidney disease . I have a HIGH phosphorus restriction and I love dressing so I tried it . My mom and I made it and it was DELICIOUS !!! I ate it in 2 Days . I recommend anyone to try it it's more healthier . NO PERSEVERATIVES ! Just bread , vegetables, seasoning . Can't wait to make it again .

I love this recipe. I printed it years ago and am curious as to why you made changes. I know you've been doing that for ones that have non dairy creamer. Thanks. Dietitian comment: We've also added more whole grains and removed margarine due to trans fats. In this recipe half the white bread was replace by whole wheat bread and margarine replaced with butter. If you prefer the older version it's still kidney-friendly.

Would love to make this, my question is about the Poultry Seasoning. The Bell's says NO SALT, I find that this usually means Potassium Chloride is hiding in there my suspicion correct? and If so, do you have an alternative recommendation.Dietitian comment: Poultry seasoning does not have potassium chloride. Check the ingredient list on the container to confirm. If it is not listed you can be assured the seasoning is not high in potassium. btw--the Bell's website confirms no additives in their seasoning.

I cut back to 1 stick of butter, & added some low sodium turkey broth!! DELICIOUS!! I agree there was a bit too much seasoning, but next time I will use ONLY the poultry seasoning!! Thanks for this idea!!

I made this as Joann B recommend without the extra sage or thyme and it was great. I need to be careful when cutting the bread as I squish the slices.

too much sage and thyme. Just needs the Poultry season which already has sage and thyme included.
