Helpful hints

  • For a lower protein meal plan, reduce the turkey to 1 ounce and use 1 slice of cheese. Add more cranberry sauce for extra calories.
  • Each slice of cheese is .32 ounces so two slices equals about 2/3 ounce total.
  • Dietitian Erica says "Love my Panini maker! I found it at a yard sale for about $3 and have gotten so much use out of it.  I’ve heard a George Foreman grill or similar kitchen appliance works just as well. It just makes your typical grilled sandwich a little more special."

After reading this recipe I just added extra thin Swiss cheese and whole berry cranberry sauce to my sauce grocery list. I have never tried the whole berry cranberry sauce but it sounds so good I cannot wait to try it.
