Can you use sesame oil with it? Dietitian comment: Yes I suggest only a small amount since sesame oil has a strong flavor.

Im new to this. Im learning to cook for my father that has renal failure stage 4 and diabetes. Now my question is why is canola oil use instead of olive oil? Dietitian comment: For this slaw recipe the lighter flavor of canola oil allows the other flavorings to stand out more. However you can use olive oil if preferred in this recipe or amy others on the website.

This was good and easy but made our insides rumble. Not a fan because of this.

Could I use crushed, uncooked Ramen Noodles (no spice pkg) and refrigerate until noodles soften? Dietitian comment: Even without the seasoning package ramen noodles are very high in sodium. The reduced sodium version has almost 1000 mg for 1 package. You can purchase plain, unprocessed ramen noodles that are sodium-free in the specialty section or in an Asian market, but would require cooking.

This was really good. Only problem is, it's just me and this is 8 servings. Next time I will divide the chow mein noodles into 8 and add each time I have it. It gets rather soggy when you put it all in at once.

Delish salad, I used red cabbage for added flavor and texture. It was really great paired up with turkey pot stickers
