Matilde’s Tuna Salad
- CKD non-dialysis
1/4 of the bowl of tuna (approximately 3/4 cup)
- 15 ounces canned unsalted tuna, packed in water
- 1/2 large apple
- 1 celery stalk
- 1/2 small onion
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon salt (optional)
- Drain tuna and finely chop apple, celery and onion.
- Mix tuna, apple, celery, onion, mayonnaise, black pepper and salt in a medium bowl.
- Serve on top of bed of lettuce, with unsalted crackers or make a sandwich.
