I made this gravy this morning. I used Silk non-dairy creamer, vanilla flavor. That was all I had on hand. Won't do that again. It would need a lot of cayenne pepper to cover up the vanilla taste. I will make sure that I have unflavored dairy creamer next time, otherwise good taste and simple tomake.

If you are on a gluten free diet the best gravy I have found is They use to have a country gravy and I have used this with sausage .Akso have found out a delicious substitute for a biscuit or bun is Glutino english muffins.

this was super tasting, and very good with 'cauliflower mashed potatoes'; we're just getting into these recipes for husband about a year from dialysis.

Wasn't sure what to expect. I cook for a family member and have been learning a lot lately. The Almost Mashed Potatoes in the Vegetable area have been very well received. I like them too...even w/o adding salt (I don't have CRF). So 'We' (me) did Country Gravy and I'm surprised how good it is. Non-Diary creamer...who'd a thunk it? The Gravy gets it's flavor from the nicely seasoned ground pork. I expect I'll be requested to make this again as well. I tripled this recipe and doubled the fake spuds...allowing many portions to be frozen for later.
