Strawberry Rhubarb Applesauce
- CKD non-dialysis
8.7 ounces (approximately 1 cup)
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 cup rhubarb
- 5-1/3 ounces strawberries, unsweetened, fresh or frozen
- 23 ounces applesauce, unsweetened
- In a medium saucepan combine all ingredients and cook over medium heat until rhubarb is soft.
- Add more honey if sauce is too tart.
- Serve with chunky fruit pieces or process in a food processor or blender for a smooth sauce. Serve hot or chilled.
