I used this as the basis for my Salmon Cakes rather than crab. So far, so good. Added chopped onion and plenty of cayenne. Will sprinkle with paprika after cooking.

I'm puzzled at the difference in protein content of this recipe compared to your other crabcake recipe. They both use 1# of crab and 1 egg. Moderator comment: Great question! I compared the analysis and the only difference is the type of crab meat. Crab cakes has 1 pound of snow crab meat and Maryland Lump Crab Cakes has 1 pound of lump backfin crab meat. Nine different types of crab meat in the database range from 4.15 to 6.72 grams of protein per ounce.
