Ingredients

4 ounces cream cheese
1/8 teaspoon mint extract
4 cups powdered sugar
1 tablespoon milk
1/4 cup holiday sprinkles
1/3 cup granulated sugar

 

Preparation

  1. Set cream cheese out to soften.
  2. Using a mixer on low speed, combine cream cheese and mint extract.
  3. Mix in 2 cups of the powdered sugar until smooth
  4. Add 1 additional cup of powdered sugar and 2 tablespoons of the sprinkles. Mix on low speed until blended
  5. Fold in remaining cup of powdered sugar until combined.
  6. In a separate bowl, combine granulated sugar and remaining holiday sprinkles.
  7. Shape dough into 3/4-inch balls and roll in sugar and sprinkles mixture.
  8. Place balls on a baking sheet and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  9. Remove from fridge and gently flatten balls with a fork.
  10. Store in an airtight container in fridge until ready to serve.

Helpful hints

  • Use colored granulated sugar for even more color.
  • Increase mint extract to 1/4 teaspoon for a stronger mint flavor.
  • Try chocolate sprinkles for a mint-chocolate flavor.
