A-maze-ing Bean Dip
cantrelllj says:

I cooked one cup of pinto beans which turned into 3 cups which is what I used in the dip. I also used Bush's white homey when 2 cans drained was the 2 1/2 cups I needed was this correct? I used a large food processor My weight watchers group loved it...was this correct. I served it with pita bread and pita chips Dietitian comment: Actually the pinto beans portion is 1 cup measured after cooking, not the 3 cups.

A-maze-ing Bean Dip

i am confused. I thought beans were a no no for CKD Moderator comment: Most important is the amount of potassium and phosphorus you get from a serving and practicing portion control. The one cup of beans in this recipe is divided by 36 servings. This is much less potassium and phosphorus than a 1/2 cup of 1 cup serving of beans as an entree or side dish.
