So. As far as the spinach-mandarin salad goes. Are you all saying that it is okay to eat if prepared as the dietitian comment or what: Dietitian comment: 1/2 cup raw spinach has only 84 mg potassium. 1/2 cup cooked spinach has 419 mg potassium. For cooked greens the lower potassium choices are collards (213 mg), mustard greens (141 mg) and turnip greens (184 mg). It's recommended to limit to only 1/2 cup. Dietitian comment: Yes, that is correct. The key is portion control.

You have a spinach-mandarin salad displayed. Dialysis patients should not be eating spinach, collard greens, turnip greens or mustard greens as I understood from foods not to eat. Please correct me if I am wrong. also mandarins have potassium should not we be aware of those also?
